An original painting capturing the loose, laissez-faire quality of my garden in July, when everything is in peak bloom and the borders hum with the sound of foraging insects and heady fragrance wafts through the air. Pops of vibrant burgundy and sparkling lilac shimmer among lush greens. Romantic roses, spicy Salvia, fluffy Thalictrum, delicate Cosmos, towering Acanthus and aromatic Nepeta are all enjoying their moment in this mini series of works which was painted together as a whole from life on a sunny July afternoon.
