Mountains, Sea & Sky | Original Paintings

This mini series was inspired by the vibrant orange sunsets often seen on the Llyn Peninsula. I love to watch the colours intensify and mellow over a precious window of minutes. The peaches, apricots and marmalade tones are so beautiful and contrast perfectly with the deep blue and turquoise of the ocean. I wanted these pieces to feel free and dynamic, capturing the transcendence of a beautiful sunset with lines on oil pastel over a soft base of acrylic.
