Dahlia Joy! | Original Paintings

Inspired by my lovely friend Anna's happiest of allotment plots in the Peak District. Dahlias 'Autumn Orange', 'Wizard of Oz' and the mystery fruit cocktail cutting all hang out with Cosmos and Nigella creating a firework of vibrant tones. Anna has such a brilliant eye for colour and creates gorgeous jars of posies from her home grown flowers. After visiting her magical plot, I couldn't resist the urge to paint them and try to capture that pretty profusion of late summer joy!
